Our Criteria
To become an official writer for our site, you must meet the following:
Age:

Between 12 and 25 years old
Writing Skills:

Strong command of English

Ability to write clearly, creatively, and with purpose

Open to constructive feedback and edits
Commitment:

Submit at least 1 piece every 1-2 weeks (after school starts, it will be once a month)

Stick to deadlines and communicate if more time is needed
Content Variety:

You can write about anything you're passionate about, including but not limited to:

Pop culture
-
Music, film, and book reviews
-
Interviews and opinion pieces
-
Mental health, school life, and social issues
-
Creative writing (short stories, poetry, etc.)
-
3500 characters minimum for articles

Voice & Originality:

Honest, engaging, and authentic tone: be yourself!

All work must be original, no AI-generated or plagiarized content

A unique point of view is highly valued!
Bonus Skills (Optional):

Hi! I’m Manuela, founder of Ironically Speaking, a platform dedicated to empowering teenagers to share their voices on the issues that matter most to them.

I’m also building a permanent team of about 15 dedicated writers who commit to submitting one article per week on any topic they’re passionate about—whether it’s politics, identity, science, culture, mental health, or personal stories.
